GPAFI (Provident and Insurance Group of International Officials) is a non-profit-making association, formed in 1958 by the Coordinating Council of the United Nations Office at Geneva (formerly Staff Council).

GPAFI provides wide insurance schemes for international civil servants working in the international organizations based in Geneva and employees of permanent missions to the UN, as well as family members of all these staffs.

Starting 2010 and in partnership with GPAFI, UNIQA in Switzerland provides a supplementary health insurance which benefits are perfectly adapted to the UNOG, ILO & WHO's primary insurance schemes.

Alternative medicine

In the context of our supplementary health insurance for G.P.A.F.I, UNIQA concluded an agreement with the Swiss ASCA foundation.

Since 1991, ASCA has been an independent and nonprofit foundation. ASCA promotes a high ethical approach of the alternative medicine, controls the accreditation and the training of the therapists. ASCA finally maintain an updated list of therapists in all branches of alternative medicine who satisfy to the professional requirements of the Foundation.
